Hi everyone,

Сьогодні стартувало нове завдання в Арт Клубі Шпаківня - Скетч-листівка. Власниця проекту - Таля, намалювала для нас дуже гарний скетч. Він різноплановий і надихає творити. Дивлячись на нього мені захотілось зробити саме таку листівку, в фіолетово-зелено-рожевій гамі. 

Today, at Art Club Shpakivnia we have a new challenge - Sketch. The owner of the project created a beautiful sketch for us. It is so interesting and diverse, that I wanted to create a card using these colors - purple, pink and green.

Fancy in pink / Панянка в рожевому

Welcome! Вітаю!

It has been a while since the last time I wrote in my blog. I returned from a wonderful trip to Ukraine, where I met with my friends. We enjoyed fresh coffee, a lot of tasty food and treats, and each other's company. I miss everyone already. It was a nice winter in Ukraine with lots of snow, considering that in New York we didn't have winter this year. It's all Spring here, which really started in January. 

Минуло трохи часу від мого останнього запису в блозі. Так склалось, що після поїздки в Україну треба було розгребти трохи роботи й інших речей, які забрали в мене більше часу ніж я сподівалась. Але я знову тут.

Поїздка в Україну була надзвичайно чудова, хоч і зимова, а від зими я давно відвикла. У нас цього року і снігу не було, лишень дощі часами падали. А так ми мали ранню весну без відвідин старої тітоньки зими. В Україні я відвідала два міста - Львів і Тернопіль. Дуже мало було у мене часу, отже вийшло, що я рівно поділила на кожне місто чоири дні. Замало!!! Проте, я була дуже рада зустрітись з чудовими людьми, побачити багато тепер вже не лишень віртуальних друзів, поласувати смачною кавусею у Львові і в Тернополі. 

Дівчатка, я за вами всіма дуже вже скучила!!!

Anyways, when I came back I learned that one of my cards, made top tree at Whoopsi Daisy challenge, which made me so happy. I love Linnie's images, they are so cute.  Thanks!

Та всеж по приїзді додому мене чекав приємний сюрприз, бо моя рожево-салатова листівочка потрапила у трійку найкращих на блозі завдань Whoopsi Daisy. Я дуже люблю їх малюночки! Отже сьогодні покажу вам нову листівочку з одним з їхніх малюночків. Цього разу було завдання зробити щось об’ємне. У мене об’ємна 3Д панянка з парасолькою.

It took me a while to sort things out, but now I can show you my new card made with Whoopsi Daisy image, for their 3D Challenge. Also you will note on the card that I have created a flowery background using the stencil and the Martha Steward pink ink.

Here you can see how I used paper piecing to create a 3D effect for the cute fancy girl.

Червоне Різдво

Якось не дуже веселі вийшли Свята у нас цьоно року, бо малеча принесла зі школи шлунковий вірус і була хвора на сам Свят Вечір, а в понеділок похворіли і решту діток і я. Невесело було мому чоловіку обійти всіх хворих в хаті, але він молодець і справився на всі 100.

Через перепетії показую листівочки лиш сьогодні.

Ось вона, моя червона різдвяна феєчка.

Тут я вперше використала нові маркери, як мені приніс Миколайко. І зрозуміла, що мені бракує ще декілька кольорів, аби передати все що хочу.

Winter fairy-tale maiden / Дівчинка з зимової казки

Welcome!

I am such a child inside, or is this due to amount of children that surround me... Anyways, this time of season I remember all of the stories that I read as a child, all of those movies that we have seen once the winter started. Back home we were shown a lot of fairy-tales, such as Winter Queen, 12 Months (about a girl, who was told by her bad step-sister to get her some spring flowers... Thus, the girl had to go into the woods, and there she met twelve months, who of course helped her out. I love this movie!), the Father Frost or Mother Snowstorm. All of those fairy tales are about a good girl and her evil step mother, and how they make her go into the woods in the middle of cold Russian winter.

One more Russian fairy-tale that I cannot pass, which is also an opera by Rymsky-Korsakov (love opera!!!), is  The Snow-maiden. All of those pagan fairy-tales are about beautiful and open-hearted maidens, who are ready to help anyone in need.

Enough of my childhood memories... Here is the card that I have created. It depicts a maiden walking through the woods, or maybe skating :)

Я напевне в душі навіки залишусь дитиною, а може це вплив діточок які мене постійно оточують, будь це чи вдома чи в суботній школі. Саме в зимовий час мені пригадуються всі казки і кінофільми які ми дивились в дитинстві. Це такі чудові казки як, Снігова королева, 12 місяців, Морозко, Метелиця... А особливо я люблю оперу Римського-Корсакова, Снігуронька. Всі ці казки такі наповнені язичеством але водночас показують, що доброта і відкрите серце роблять чудеса.

Дуже люблю зимові казки. Саме надихнувшись казками я зробила цю листівку. Дівчинку я розмалювала олівцями, використала папір від Марти Стюарт, шнурки від Твайнері

Girly pea in a pod / Дівчинка-горошинка

In our Saturday Ukrainian school one of teacher assistance had a baby few weeks ago, so I made a card for her. I love these digi stamps and I have so much fun coloring them. This time I made a little girly pea in a pod. Also the clear and simple style starting to become my favorite. Hope she likes the card.

Одна моя знайома недавно народила дівчинку. Я купила діджі штампик і вирішила його розмалювати і зробити листівку для тої знайомої. Заімпонував мені простий стиль.

My friend and I are in love with C.C. Designs digi stamps from All That Craft. Their Sweet November line is so cute, that I had to purchase this one to have it. Thus, I have colored this Mea Fairy and decided to make this simple magical Christmas card.

It's a BOY!!! / Це хлопчик!!!

My "virtual" friend gave birth to a beautiful baby boy on Tuesday night. For this occasion I made a card for her - It's a BOY!!! Me and her we have a special connection, even thou we have not seen each other in person yet. I believe that soon I will have a chance to meet with her and talk about life, kids, husband and overbearing love of our mothers. Natalie, hope you will get this card soon and it will bring a smile to your face. XOXOXO
